Description

Launch of the SHAP WMHOG research models:

  • Smart and Sustainable Procurement
  • New Build Healthy Homes Performance Standard
  • Finance Models for Retrofit

Update on:

  • Housing Round Table – establishment of a West Midlands low carbon housing fund – newbuild and retrofit
  • Embedding the SHAP WMHOG reseach models into LEP and Local Authority policy and delivery
  • Agreeing a West Midlands collaborative procurement of off site manufactured housing solutions

DRIVING

Rush hour starts early in the Black Country so please allow for this if driving.

There is limited on site parking which would need to be booked in advance. There are pay car parks nearby.

Car Parking: access to small car park near Chamber (off Church Street) required for unloading display materials – car park pass required for day parking, registration plate information to be supplied.

The best postcode to use for sat-navs and journey planners to reach the Council chamber entrance from Church Street would be B69 3AF. For the other side of the chamber entrance, ie Freeth Street, and access to the large Council car park off the A4034 Oldbury Ringway, the best postcode for people to use would be B69 9SA.

TRAIN, METRO AND BUS

Sandwell Council House is about 10 minutes walk from Sandwell and Dudley Station and 20 mins from the Midlands Metro stop - both of which connect to New Street Station. Bus No 4 connects both to the Council House.
